HOW IT ALL STARTED

"Food has always been a way I have enjoyed new locations as well as good times with friends and family. A vacation to Florida led me to experience my first food tour. Getting to eat at the not-to-be-missed culinary locations, while learning some of the local history along the way was a great way to spend the afternoon and a highlight of the trip.

South Georgian Bay Food Tours is a way to bring a similar experience to the area and create a fun way for local food lovers and visitors to enjoy the tastes and spirit of the area.

With an incredible selection of great restaurants in Collingwood, Thornbury, and Creemore each town have a lively social scene and an area that sees new visitors year round, we hope everyone enjoys the tours as much as we do."

"Who knew? I always remembered Collingwood as a sleepy little down, that we mostly bypassed en route to Thornbury or Meaford. But it has indeed blossomed into quite the destination, particularly for interesting and local dining! I have to say I was very impressed not only with the calibre of the food we sampled on five stops all around the downtown area, but also the knowledge of Heidi and the various owners. I learned so much about olive oil and balsamic vinegars, none of which I knew before, for example, and enjoyed unique dishes at four other restaurants. A delightful way to spend an afternoon, especially in fall. The day was glorious, as was the drive there. Well worth it."
